The LGBT Network is seeking workshop proposals for its 7th Annual LGBT Workplace Summit, an event that convenes workplace professionals who are advancing their LGBT-inclusion efforts to create safer workplaces for LGBT people.

The Summit delivers education and information about LGBT best practices through plenary sessions, breakout workshops, and roundtable discussions.   It is the only event of its kind in the region.

We are seeking high-quality proposal submissions for breakout workshop sessions at this year’s Workplace Summit.  Proposals are sought from workplace professionals who have experience advancing their LGBT-inclusion efforts with success.

Desired subject areas include: LGBT-affirming policies; efforts and strategies to expand talent pools with LGBT candidates; LGBT employee or business resource groups (ERGs/BRGs); LGBT-focused talent management strategies, i.e., mentoring, internal communications, other; and LGBT workplace education.

Presentation elements being sought include the rationale for implementing such strategies, seeking approval and support, experiences with executing LGBT-inclusion strategies, and lessons learned.

Workshop proposals should:

  • Be designed to run 55 minutes in length, including Q&A
  • Collaborative workshops featuring multiple presenters are welcome (two to three presenters)
  • Workshop content that highlights key strategies that the presenters have personally employed in their workplaces, and be able to highlight demonstrable and/or measurable impacts they have achieved

Our facilities can support multi-media presentations.  Workshops should incorporate a Power Point presentation, and can also feature video and other digital media.

Our timeline: Please submit your workshop proposal by April 30, 2026.
