GSA MINI GRANTS

The LGBT Network is providing Mini-grants to middle and high school Gender and Sexuality Alliance (GSA) clubs and similar clubs across Long Island and NYC to advance local community efforts to address and prevent the bullying of LGBTQ youth. Mini-grant funds are designed to support GSA clubs in designing and carrying-out a project in their school and/or community to achieve this goal. LGBT Network will award up to forty (40) GSA Mini-grants ranging from $250 to $500 per award. Apply here today!

LGBT Network cordially invites you to our Annual LGBT Youth Prom! Join us on Wednesday, June 26, 2024 from 6:00pm to 9:30pm for a night of dancing and dining, complete with a buffet dinner and dessert bar, music, and the crowning of this year’s Rainbow Court!  All LGBT and allied youth are welcome to be yourself and join us for an unforgettable night! Tickets for this event are $10 per person.


VIRTUAL

This virtual space is dedicated to GSA Leaders and Students across Long Island to share strategies for engaging and growing their GSA Club. Student Leaders learn from and help each other by sharing what has worked for their clubs and receive advice from each other around challenges.

This monthly dynamic and inclusive virtual forum brings together dedicated GSA (or other LGBT club) advisors from across the Island. This council serves as a vital platform for advisors and educators to share experiences, exchange ideas, and collaborate on strategies for fostering safe, affirming, and inclusive spaces for LGBTQ youth within their schools and communities. Held on the 2nd Tuesday of each month, 3-4pm.

LONG ISLAND PRIDE

Sunday, June 9, 12 – 5 PM, Huntington, NY.

The 34th Annual Long Island Pride Parade will kick-off at 12n beginning at the intersection of Clinton Avenue and Main Street in Huntington Village. Participants will march down Main Street all the way to the intersection of Main Street and Prime Avenue, where a festival and concert will immediately follow.
