Trans Work Equity Lags

See the following statements in this Newsday article from LGBT Network President David Kilmnick and Workplace Partner Tamara Layne in response to a recent report from the NYS Department of Labor, which revealed pervasive workplace discrimination amongst Transgender workers in New York. 🏳️‍⚧️

“These antidiscrimination policies are important, and we need them, but they need to be more than window dressing,” said David Kilmnick. “There has to be a high level of accountability for those who violate those policies, and that’s not there right now.”

“A lot of it is from coworkers,” said Tamara Layne, who leads a transgender support group through the LGBT Network.
