LGBT Network Announces Pride Month Partnerships In The Hamptons

The LGBT Network announces its new shop-for-a-cause campaign for Pride Month entitled “Local Is As Local Shops,” that highlights local Hamptons businesses supporting the LGBT Network providing service in the local community.  Headlining the effort is Todd Snyder East Hampton who has signed-on to support the LGBT Network with a $10,000 sponsorship for the organization’s sold-out Summer Kick-Off event on Saturday, May 27, 2023 at the Bridgehampton Tennis & Surf Club.

“The LGBT Network thanks Todd Snyder East Hampton for their leadership as a new partner for Pride Month,” says LGBT Network CEO Robert Vitelli.  The Todd

Snyder East Hampton Store will be donating 25% of proceeds to the LGBT Network on Saturday, June 3rd to support the organization’s life-saving work for LGBT people, especially LGBT youth.  Todd Snyder East Hampton will provide attendees of the Summer Kick-Off a special offer of $100 off purchases of $500+. The East Hampton store is also donating a $1,000 Shopping Spree for the event’s silent auction.

Todd Snyder says,

“We are honored to support the LGBT Network and the incredible work they do to amplify and protect the existence of local LGBTQ+ communities. So

far in 2023, states have introduced more than 300 bills aimed at curbing the rights of LGBTQ+ people, especially targeted at those of the transgender community. This is very concerning and it’s important for us all to speak up against inequality, and to stand together against what is not right.”

Vitelli adds, “We are so grateful to all of the local partners who stepped forward for this new effort.” Additional “Local Is As Local Shops” Partners include:

  • Sag Harbor-based Kidd Squid, a New York State Farm Brewery making and serving local-ingredient progressive beers for everyone of legal age to enjoy.  For the “Local Is As Local Shops” campaign Kidd Squid is creating a specialty “Pride Pils” pilsner beer can, adorned with a progress rainbow flag and the LGBT Network logo.  Throughout the month of June, customers can also mention “LGBTQ Network Pride” at Kidd Squid and receive 20% off Pride Pilsner through June. Kidd Squid owners say,

“Kidd Squid is proud to partner with the LGBTQ Network.  We are humbled by the sheer breadth of effort by the LGBT Network to make our communities and the world a more equitable and safe place for everyone.  Kidd Squid proudly stands with the LGBTQ+ community and celebrates the diversity and inclusivity that Pride Month represents. We believe that everyone should be able to live their authentic selves, free from discrimination and prejudice.”

  • Sag Harbor-based Sylvester & Co. Modern General will be donating a portion of proceeds from June 2023 sales of cups of coffee to the LGBT Network, in addition to providing a cold brew for the signature Dreamy-tini™ cocktail at the Hamptons Summer Kick Off event, as well as a $1,000 Shopping Spree in the event’s silent auction.
  • Sag Habor-based Wave Wellness providing a range of Massage, Skincare, Infaed Sauna, Croyskin and Lymphatic Treatments designed to help you recover faster and reset all the body’s systems for longevity. Wave Wellness is also donating a $1,000 Shopping Spree in the event’s silent auction to be used towards their services.

All throughout June, these participating stores will donate a percentage of their proceeds back to the LGBT Network as a local organization serving the Hamptons and East End communities.  Each store has also donated to the event’s “shopping spree” portion of the Summer Kick-Off event auction, representing thousands of dollars of value.

“We thank each of these local businesses that are supporting the local services of the LGBT Network – their efforts are boosting our visibility so that more LGBT people, especially LGBT youth, become aware of our critical and life-saving work,” says Vitelli.  Proceeds from the Pride Month shopping efforts support the LGBT Network’s education and anti-bullying work in local schools throughout the Hamptons and greater East End region.
