On April 29, 2025, the LGBT Network was officially inducted into the Hall of Fame at the Long Island Imagine Awards — a recognition of over 30 years of lifesaving, community-building work across Long Island.
From fighting for LGBTQ+ rights to creating safe spaces where people can live, learn, work, play, and pray with pride, the LGBT Network has been a leading voice for equity, justice, and visibility.
In this powerful 7-minute speech, Founder & President Dr. David Kilmnick reflects on the organization’s journey — and calls the community to stand together in the face of today’s challenges. “What we had was a belief: that no one should ever feel alone, unsafe, or invisible.”
