The Queens LGBTQ Pride Prom hosted by Assemblymember Catalina Cruz will support the funding of mini-grants of $250-500 for Queens based school GSA’s (gay-straight and gender sexuality alliances) to advance local community efforts to address and prevent the bullying of LGBTQ youth. These grants will be issued to these student groups on National Coming Out Day in October.

    should be less than 1,000 words and answer the following questions in a Word or PDF document: · What is the goal of your project and how will it be implemented? · Who will be involved and how? · How will you advertise and promote the project using #lgbtnetwork? · Where and when will the project take place? · What will the mini-grant funds be used to pay for? Please be specific as possible. · How do you plan to document your project including pictures, video and social media?

    Video presentation summarizing your written proposal. (This is strongly encouraged but not required for consideration). · Length should be 1-2 minutes long · Must be recorded in Horizontal format if using a cellphone · Be sure to mention the name of your school · Summarize the proposed project · Ensure audio is clear and video is adequately illuminated Please note that video submissions will be viewed at a private fundraising event in order to raise the funds to support this program.
