Calling all Long Island GSA Advisors! Kick off the 2023-24 School Year with this important virtual event focused on and for GSA advisors. With equal parts program planning, networking, and education, you will leave this Council meeting with a schedule of programs available for your GSA for the year, peer contacts to support you and your club, and more information about the revised NYSED guidance on supporting transgender and gender expansive students in schools. This is a GSA Advisors Council meeting you won’t want to miss! Join Long Island GSA advisors and students from all over the Island. This month, we will discuss the current anti-LGBT climate in too many of Long Island Schools where teachers are being targeted for showing their support of the LGBT students.  As a group, we will identify ways in which we all can support them, both directly and in our own clubs. Together, we will make LI schools safer and more affirming for LGBT students and staff.
