Event Details

The Civilian Complaint Review Board (CCRB) will facilitate a workshop at the LGBT Network’s Queens LGBT Center as we enter Pride Season. CCRB is a city agency, independent of the NYPD, that investigates and mediates complaints against NYPD officers in an unbiased manner. They will review civilian rights and responsibilities during police encounters, biased-based policing and racial profiling complaints, the Right to Know Act, and the processes of investigation and mediation of a complaint. CCRB is a great resource to connect with if you are concerned about reporting of hate crimes, intimate partner violence incidents, or any other incidents in working with the police as an LGBT New Yorker.
