Event Details

Friday Night Out is the most affirming and fun environment for LGBTQ youth. This is a great place to make friends from every corner of Long Island in a place where you can always be yourself. Each night has a different theme. If the night’s theme isn’t for you, that’s okay – you can just chill with friends in one of our queer youth lounge spaces.

UPCOMING THEMES:

2/24: Karaoke Night

Grab a microphone, choose your favorite song, and get ready to belt it out. Sing your heart out and impress your friends. Not feeling confident enough to go solo? No worries – grab a group of friends and sing a duet or group number. It’s all about having fun… And who knows? Maybe one day you will become the winner of a big LGBT talent show. For youth ages 13-18.

3/3: TDOV-themed Arts & Crafts: TDOV

Join us for a night of crafty fun to raise the visibility of TGNCNB people! We will create TGNCNB-themed decorations to be displayed at our Transgender Day of Visibility (TDOV) event at the end of the month. Unleash your inner artist and get your creativity flowing! Whether you’re a seasoned crafts pro or a total beginner, our night of artistic mayhem will have something for you. For youth ages 13-18.

3/10: Celebrating LGBT Women

In honor of Women’s History Month, we will celebrate LGBT Women through music, videos, and performances. Hop on our stage to showcase one of your favorite queer woman throughout history or present day – tell us their story, sing their song, read their poem. Flex your knowledge of queer history, and together, we can create a timeline of famous LGBT women.

3/17: D&D Night

Back by popular demand, D&D night is here!  Gather your party, stock up on potions and weapons, and let’s embark on an epic quest. Welcome to D&D night – where the fate of imaginary worlds is in your hands! Our queer dungeon master will guide you through a thrilling storyline, full of plot twists, battles, and mysteries waiting to be solved. Dress up as your favorite character or create a new fabulous one. For youth ages 13-18.

3/24: Karoake night

Grab a microphone, choose your favorite song, and get ready to belt it out. Sing your heart out and impress your friends. Not feeling confident enough to go solo? 3/31: Transgender Day of Visibility – Open Mic Night

TDOV is a day to celebrate and support our transgender community.  Tonight, we will elevate the voices and experiences of TGNCNB youth through Open Mic Night. We invite you to share your own stories and/or words of support during our open mic session. This is a safe and supportive space where everyone is free to express themselves without fear of judgment or discrimination. Happy Transgender Day of Visibility! For youth ages 13-18.
