Mitch Hymowitz joined the LGBT Network in September 2019 as Development Coordinator. In his role, Mitch provides database management, event planning, and day-to-day fundraising and development operations for the organization.
Prior to the LGBT Network, Mitch worked as a Development Associate at Seneca Family of Agencies, a mental health non-profit for children and families in California and Washington. After spending 5 years in the Bay Area, Mitch moved home to his roots in August 2019 and is looking forward to creating impact and cultivating community on Long Island. Before moving to California, Mitch earned his Bachelor of Science in Communication Studies at SUNY Oneonta and founded the SUNY Pride Conference – a conference for all SUNY schools to become au courant with each other’s policies, trainings, and facilities to affirm queer and trans college students. Additionally, Mitch has orated numerous trainings and written various curriculums on creating affirming spaces for queer and trans youth.
In his free time, Mitch enjoys a day at the beach, painting, playing tennis, and exploring the city.
