Get Justice Youth Summit 2020

On Wednesday, April 8, 2020, the LGBT Network will hold its third annual #GetJustice Youth Summit at LaGuardia Community College.

The Youth Summit is the Queens’ LGBT activism and advocacy conference that educates and empowers students, educators, professionals, health and human service providers, and other members of the community to advocate and organize in their schools and communities around the needs of LGBT young people through the lens of Sexual and Reproductive Justice.

Attendees will also receive training on how to implement and organize the LGBT Network’s new youth-led day-of-action, and return to their schools and communities with knowledge, skills, and an SRJ Tool Kit, and be ready to #GetJustice!

Workshops will be offered in the following areas:

The #GetJustice Youth Summit offers attendees in-depth education on Sexual and Reproductive Justice (SRJ), and how to employ an SRJ lens and approach to advocate and organize for the needs and rights of the LGBT community, particularly LGBT youth.
