NY LGBT Network’s Expressive Arts Night Program is for LGBT and allied adults, ages 18+ of all artistic abilities. It is a fun way to express yourself while meeting new people in a supportive environment. Using materials like clay, paint, sand, and more, you are invited to explore your thoughts, emotions, strengths, and opportunities to grow into the best version of yourself. Facilitated by a Licensed Creative Arts Therapist (LCAT), each Arts Night promises the opportunity to learn a new skill with the chance to take home your own masterpiece.
Expressive Arts Night meets the first Tuesday of each month from 7-8:30pm at the Hauppauge LGBT Center located at 125 Kennedy Drive, Suite 100, in Hauppauge.

Through glue and sand art, participants will design an image of their choice while exploring mindfulness and stress relief. - 12/2: Let It Go
Using the playful technique of finger painting, participants will create an image that encourages fun and the release of control
Art supplies provided. Be sure to register to ensure we have enough supplies for everyone!
$5 suggested donation at each event supports our Mental Health Program to keep counseling services free for LGBT youth.
While these Community Events are not actual art therapy sessions, the group art experience is a great primer for understanding how relaxing and beneficial art therapy can be. All participants are eligible to meet with the Art Therapist one-on-one for an optional free in-person or virtual session if they want to learn more about Art Therapy.
