Prom is often considered a rite of passage and creates memories that last a lifetime. In school settings, proms and other “couple” events can be a source of anxiety for LGBT youth. While their classmates are busy lining-up the perfect outfit and date, LGBT students often have to worry about whether they will be harassed or excluded for how they dress and who they bring with them to the prom.
Each year, the NY LGBT Network holds its annual LGBT Youth Prom to give hundreds of LGBT youth the opportunity to experience prom in a safe, affirming environment. Every youth deserves the opportunity to enjoy this special night.
Because of supporters like you, the NY LGBT Network is able to provide LGBT youth and their friends with an unforgettable night of dancing and dining, complete with a mocktail hour, buffet dinner, dessert bar, and DJ. Your support helps all LGBT youth make lifelong prom memories.

A contribution of $80 offsets the costs for one youth to attend and keeps ticket prices for youth affordable at just $10; $800 supports 10 youth.
