Otis Ford Funds East End Youth Project
The LGBT Network extends its thanks and gratitude to Otis Ford of Quogue for their $1,000 donation for the Hamptons Center Youth Video Project, a contest among school gay-straight alliance (GSA) clubs on the East End of Long Island. GSA clubs produce short 90-second videos about the Hamptons Center, its location, and its services in a community awareness effort.
"Otis Ford is proud to support the LGBT Network and the Hamptons LGBT Center through their video awareness campaign. We hope that we can help them make a positive impact and move ever closer to a united community where all people feel accepted.”
The $1,000 contribution funds the cash prizes for the top three winning videos - $500 for First Place, $300 for Second Place, and $200 for Third Place. All cash prizes are awarded directly to the school’s gay-straight alliance (GSA) club to further their anti-bullying efforts at the Awards Reception at the Hamptons Center on Wednesday, May 10, 2017 at 6:00 pm.
The LGBT Network’s Hamptons Center is located at Old Whaler’s Church at 44 Union Street in Sag Harbor, just minutes from the downtown Main Street and harbor pier. The Hamptons Center is one of four LGBT community centers of the LGBT Network, and serves the five East End towns with a range of programs, including school outreach, youth drop-in and leadership development, a transgender group, older adult social programming, and activities for LGBT-headed families. HIV testing is available via appointment.
