The Nature's Bounty Co. Sponsors First-Ever "Long Island Pride 5K Run"
The LGBT Network, producers of the annual Long Island LGBT Pride celebration, announced The Nature’s Bounty Co., headquartered in Ronkonkoma, NY, as the title sponsor of the first-ever LI Pride 5K Run and Kids Fun Run to be held during this year’s Pride celebration, which will be held from Friday, June 9th through Sunday, June 11th all within the City of Long Beach, NY.
The Nature’s Bounty Co. Pride 5K Run and Fun Run will be held on Saturday, June 10, 2017 on the City of Long Beach boardwalk. The LGBT Network is partnering with the Strong Island Running Club for the event, who will be the official time keepers of the race beginning at 9:00 am.
In keeping with the mission and values of The Nature’s Bounty Co., the sponsorship of the 5K during the three-day Pride on the Beach provides funding for a healthy and active opportunity for the LGBT community and supporters during the weekend. The Nature’s Bounty Co. will also provide some of its product for the participants during and after the race.
“The Nature’s Bounty Co. prides itself in being diverse and inclusive—from fostering a workplace where everyone is embraced to supporting a community where diversity thrives,” said Beverly Lee-Wo, director of corporate social responsibility for The Nature’s Bounty Co. “As a global leader in vitamins, nutritional supplements, and sports & active nutrition products, we have a passion for wellness of the mind, body, and spirit—including the LGBT community.”
“We are thrilled to offer the first ever Pride 5K during Pride on the Beach this year and remain grateful for the generous support of The Nature’s Bounty Co. We are looking forward to seeing all of the runners on the beautiful boardwalk on June 10th,” says LGBT Network CEO David Kilmnick. Registration for the 5K is currently open at https://runsignup.com/Race/NY/LongBeach/LongIslandPride5K. The registration fee is $30 per runner and $5 for the Kids Fun Run.
