As the Assistant Program Manager for HIV/STD Services, Matt is dedicated to stopping the spread of HIV and STDs in the Long Island community. By conducting a variety of activities to educate gay and bisexual young men and adults, he helps spread awareness of positive sexual health to empower the LGBT community to stay safe and healthy. Matt also provides HIV/STD counseling and testing during weekly drop-in hours, special events and during mobile testing efforts at community events, bars and clubs.
Matt started at LIGALY as a volunteer, helping out as an evening receptionist and assisting with general office work. While volunteering, Matt developed an interest in the HIV/STD Outreach and Testing Program. Matt intends to start training to become a phlebotomist so that he can fully administer testing on his own.
In his spare time, Matt enjoys going to concerts and spending time with his close friends and family, especially his young nephew.
