300 Get Groovy at 2016 LGBT Network Gala

300 guests joined the LGBT Network on Wednesday, May 4th, 2016 to Boogie Down Against Bullying at the "Studio 54" themed LGBT Network Gala Fundraiser. This year's Gala raised nearly $200,000 to support the LGBT Network's Safe Schools Initiative, which delivers 300+ anti-bullying programs annually in more than 110 schools in Long Island and Queens.

This year's Gala event honored Dave Mejias of Mejias, Milgrim & Alvarado PC for his lifelong committment to LGBT equality and his tireless support of the LGBT Network.

The 2016 LGBT Network Gala event was a departure from years past, as the Crest Hollow Country Club was transformed into a Studio 54 experience, replete with disco balls, VIP lounges and a soundtrack that kept everyone on the dance floor till the Last Dance. Special thanks to this year's event committee for their hard work to bring Studio 54 back to life: Linda Armyn, Committee Chair, Bethpage Federal Credit Union; Nicole Brand, Estée Lauder; Resi Cooper; Frank Ullman, FCU Holdings; Paul Fleishman, Newsday; Eddie Fraser, Northwell Health; Alissa Marti, Walk 97.5/K98.3/The New 103.1 MAX FM/94.3 The Shark/WHLI; Sue Rassekh, Family Center for Autism; Laurie Scheinman, wit & whim; Dave Widmer, Cablevision Media Sales.
